The movie “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” came with several messages and introduced various lessons that can be learned from it. These messages and lessons can be seen from the characters that would carry out their respective responsibility. The responsibilities shown by the characters were evident in the movie and were dutifully achieved.

Miles Morales, the main character of this movie, carried out his responsibility by keeping his promise that he made with Peter Parker (from Earth-1610). Which was to plug in the “goober” and close the portal. He got this responsibility when Peter was on his death bed moments away from getting crushed by Kingpin. Peter gave the goober to Miles and told him that he needed to plug it in. In the end scene, he was able to plug in the goober and close the portal mainly with the help of Peter B. Parker (of Earth-616) and the other Spider-Mans that came from other Spider-Man universes. Miles Morales also had the responsibility of becoming the new Spider-Man in his dimension (Earth-1610) since Peter Parker of that universe has died, it was now up to Miles to fulfill the role of becoming a superhero in New York and to stop crimes and villains like Kingpin.

Another character in the movie that kept their promise and fulfilled their responsibility is Peter B. Parker of Earth-616. It was a promise to himself; to be the true Spider-Man in his own dimension. During the beginning of the movie and throughout, Peter was willing to stay in Earth-1610 for the reason of becoming the Spider-Man in that dimension since Miles was not willing to at first. It was only during the end when he promised himself that when he would return back to his universe, he would become the Spider-Man he used to be and that he would start making an effort not only as Spider-Man but as MJ’s partner.

The word responsibility impacted the movie “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” through the characters carrying out their respective promises and roles.
